Is this course right for me?
This workshop is aimed at anyone who's had some experience with barbell training and is currently injury free. The information provided throughout the pre-workshop theory modules and the practical information on the day assumes no prior knowledge however the focus on the competition platform means it's best for those who're interested in pursuing the sport of powerlifting. If you're interested in more general strength and conditioning training please get in touch to discuss our other offerings.
What can I expect?
The workshop itself runs for around 6hrs (10am-4pm). During that time we'll cover the practical apsects of performing the squat, bench press and deadlift to competition standard. Everyone will have an opportunity to get under a heavy bar and have their technique assessed by the Burley coaching team. The practical information presented on the day will build upon the pre-course theory modules and ensure you leave with an improved understanding of the competition environment and the road to success on the powerlifting platform.
Am I ready to compete?
